Overview
My First Piano Adventure Writing Book C is a companion workbook to Lesson Book C from the Faber Piano Adventures series, designed for young beginner piano students progressing to the next stage of music reading.
At this level, students focus on reading skips on the staff, including line-to-line and space-to-space patterns. The 64-page workbook combines writing activities, ear training, sight-reading practice and creative exercises to reinforce concepts introduced in the corresponding lesson book.
The workbook also introduces young learners to the music and stories of composers including Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky, helping connect music theory and notation with enjoyable activities.
Writing Book C helps students strengthen their ability to recognise skips on the staff, while continuing to develop essential music-reading and rhythm skills.
Students also practise concepts including musical form, rhythm, accents, upbeats, ear training, improvisation and composition. The accompanying C-level materials introduce the C and G 5-finger scales and provide opportunities to develop coordination and musical expression.
