Design
🎹 Simple but Sleek (Slim Body Design with a Depth of Just 232 mm)
Casio's proprietary high-density mounting technology, with miniaturized components and a space-saving internal structure, is key to the slim body of this piano. The bold single-color scheme and minimalist design aesthetic together deliver a simple yet elegant piano experience.
🎹 Always on Hand and Ready to Play
The CDP-S series is compact, lightweight, and ultimately portable. As it can be powered by either AC power or batteries, you can play it not just however you like but wherever you like, too.
Sound
🎹 Natural Timbre Changes for a Rich Palette of Expression
Ten essential tones, including grand pianos, and electric pianos are waiting to be discovered and played. The subtle changes in response to velocity and time on the piano tones have become even more natural, broadening your range of expression.
Touch
🎹 Compact Keyboard Mechanism Delivers a Tactile, Piano Touch
The CDP-S series is perfect for a wide range of musical genres. The Scaled Hammer Action KeyboardⅡ, which is an action mechanism with hammer weighing the same as a grand piano, housed in a compact body, allows for a great balance of slim size and responsive touch.
🎹 Keys that are Smooth to the Touch
The fine-grained finish on the key surface prevents slippage caused by perspiration, and the keys feel comfortable to the fingertips even during long sessions.
Features to Enhance Your Playing
🎹 Compatibility with Three-Pedal Unit
The CDP-S160 is compatible with the included CS-46P wooden stand and the three-pedal unit SP-34, suitable for both piano practice and performance. Also includes damper pedal SP-3 which can be depressed lightly to produce a half-dampened sound.
🎹 Clearly Labeled Functions to Easily Set Tones and Other Basic Settings
The function notations above the keys make it easy to see which keys to press to change settings such as tones and tempo.
🎹 Metronome
Practice and perform with precision timing.
🎹 Various Temperaments for Any Occasion
In addition to standard equal temperament tuning, 16 alternate temperaments (scale tunings) are available.
🎹 Duet Mode
In duet mode, the left and right halves of the keyboard are set to the same tonal range. Great for two players, such as a parent and child or a teacher and student, to practice together.
🎹 MIDI Recorder
The MIDI recorder feature enables performances to be recorded to the piano’s internal memory and played back – helpful during lessons or just for fun.
